Stephanie grew up in a household of gamers, and her biggest struggle was squeezing in time to play herself around the three other folks in her home who played. In high school, a friend brought her into the world of tabletop roleplaying games, and she hasn’t looked back. Her essay deconstructing the rules system in Vampire: The Masquerade got her into graduate school with a fellowship where she wrote about narrative and choice in Dungeons & Dragons. Now she plays in two different groups in two different cities while she explores the new faces and new ideas coming up.
